Las profesoras de investigación ICREA Paula Casal (UPF) y Victoria Reyes (ICTA-UAB) conversarán sobre la capacidad de adaptación de las diferentes sociedades al cambio climático y las desigualdades socioeconómicas que se derivan de ello

Dar la espalda al cambio climático, creyendo que solo afecta a la comunidad científica, no nos libra en absoluto de sus efectos sobre nuestro día a día. Sea cual sea la respuesta colectiva a este problema que hemos generado, sabemos que las vidas de las generaciones que vendrán serán forzosamente muy diferentes de las que hay ahora.

Ante este escenario de cambios irreversibles, habrá que ver de qué modo se podrán adaptar las sociedades. ¿Sabremos aprender de aquellas culturas que han mantenido un mejor equilibrio medioambiental? ¿Cómo podremos incorporar a nuestros modelos jurídicos y de protección social el tratamiento de las desigualdades que se deriven del cambio climático?
