Resistance against massive coal-mining in Australia and a growing movement for a ‘just transition’ from fossil fuels have enjoyed some success but face massive challenges, as shown in a new map developed by researchers from the international ACKnowl-EJ project of the Institute of Environmental Science and Technology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (ICTA-UAB)  and the Australian Environmental Justice (AEJ) research team at the Centre for Urban Research (RMIT University.

L’ICTA-UAB participa a la IIIª Setmana del Bosc

Fins al proper diumenge dia 15 d’octubre, Sant Celoni acull la IIIª Setmana del Bosc, organitzada per l'Ajuntament de Sant Celoni, i l'Institut de Ciència i Tecnologia Ambientals (ICTA-UAB), el Cercle Econòmic i Social del Baix Montseny, l'Associació de Propietaris del Montnegre i el Corredor.  L'objectiu principal de la Setmana és oferir un ampli programa d'activitats culturals, divulgatives i tècniques que doni a conèixer el món forestal, el posi en valor i l’apropi una mica a la ciutadania.

El programa contempla xerrades informatives, exposicions, fires, passejades familiars, concerts musicals, una marxa pel Montseny, menús gastronòmics, Corretapes, un concurs d’aparadors, un concurs d'Instagram i un tast de productes hortícoles locals. L’ICTA-UAB hi participarà activament en algunes d’aquestes activitats, com ara la presentació divendres dia 6 d’octubre, a les 19 hores, del llibre “Poematges” per part de l’investigador ICTA-UAB, Dr. Martí Boada i la Dra. Teresa Romanillos. La presentació inclou una exposició fotogràfica donant a lloc una comunico entre mirada i paraula a l’entorn dels paisatges, la fauna i la flora.

El mateix Martí Boada serà l’encarregat de guiar la passejada familiar pel passeig de Pertegàs, el proper dissabte 14 d’octubre a les 11.30 hores. Els assistents podran gaudir del bosc de ribera, les fonts, mines d’aigua i una col·lecció d’arbres molt especial són alguns dels tresors per descobrir al llarg de la passejada.

El bosc és el comú denominador de la nostra història i del nostre territori. Les entitats que fan possible la Setmana del bosc tenen la voluntat de posar-lo en valor i tornar-nos-hi a apropar una mica. Perquè recuperant el seu passat, farem estimulants descobriments; gaudint el seu present, farem créixer els nostres sentits; projectant-lo al futur, trobarem el nostre progrés.
