Irais Vázquez Cisneros

Irais Vázquez, is original from Puebla, Mexico. She holds a degree in Financial and Economic Administration from the Instituro Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey campus Ciudad de México (2011). She has an specialization on Ecological and Environmental Economics at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (2013).  In 2015 she graduated from the  Joint European Master in Environmental Studies - Cities and Sustainability" attending the first semester at the Aalborg University, followed by the University of Aveiro and concluding her studies at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.  She is currently studying the first year of her doctorate in Environmental Sciences and Technology, at the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelon. Currently conducting a research stay at the Western State University of Colorado.

Research Interests
Irais’ specific areas of interest include Community Metabolism as well as Material/ Energy Flow Analysis, Life Cycle Analysis and Carbon Footprint impacts. Focused specificly in the future material/energy demand and needs of new infrastructure in developing countries. As well as technologic/government solutions that help to mitigate emissions and improve resilience in developing communities.
