Sesión de ecodiseño a cargo de Sostenipra e Inèdit en el Congreso Nacional de Medio Ambiente (Conama 2018)

El grupo de investigación Sostenipra del ICTA-UAB, junto con la spin-off Inèdit participarán en las actividades organizadas en el Congreso Nacional de Medio Ambiente (Conama), que tendrá lugar del 26 al 29 de noviembre de 2019 en Madrid, bajo el lema “Rumbo 20.30”.

En esta sesión técnica sobre ecodiseño, en la que participan el director del ICTA-UAB, Xavier Gabarrell, y Carles Martínez Gasol, investigador ICTA-UAB y director de proyectos  de Inèdit, se expondrán las novedades sobre la política europea en la materia y, más en concreto, sobre la Directiva Europea de Ecodiseño y su relación con la política en materia de economía circular.

En la segunda parte de la sesión se expondrán los 10 proyectos finalistas del Concurso de Ecodiseño organizado por el Comité sobre Ecodiseño de Conama 2018, que tendrá dos ganadores, uno seleccionado por un jurado formado por profesionales en la materia y otro por el público asistente de Conama a esta sesión, que participará a través de sus votos. 

A través de este Concurso y la exposición de estas sesiones se pretende hacer visible el trabajo de las empresas, con casos reales y ejemplos de nuevas tecnologías o innovaciones que permiten ilustrar a otros a aplicar el ecodiseño a sus productos, procesos o servicios, además de colaborar a transmitir a la sociedad actual la incipiente y necesaria importancia que tiene el ecodiseño para conseguir un futuro sostenible. 

El ecodiseño persigue diseñar productos y servicios sostenibles, minimizando el impacto ambiental durante todo el ciclo de vida del producto, desde el diseño hasta la extracción de materias primas, la producción, la utilización y la retirada del mismo. Hoy en día, ecodiseño es sinónimo de un diseño de calidad, que trae consigo no solo beneficios ambientales para la sociedad sino también beneficios económicos para las empresas.
 
De la misma manera, se pretende mostrar la correlación existente entre los conceptos de economía circular y ecodiseño, siendo este último una parte fundamental a la hora de conseguir la transición real hacia el modelo de economía circular.
